Guide for Business

Token Sale (Business)

Overview

After issuing a Store Token, you sell 10% of the total supply to users through a token sale. The price is set by the sale contract and rises as more of the supply is sold, and buyers can sell back to the contract at the current price at any time. There is no sale goal, no end date, no soft cap, and no pre-registration.

Where Does the Token Sale Appear?

You manage the sale in the Console under Manage > Token sale. Users find it in the Token sale list on the Starzip DEX and on your store's own Token sale page.

Sale Settings

You choose the start time. Everything else is fixed when you issue the token and is shown read-only on the same screen.

ItemDescription
Start date and timeThe sale opens at this time. Only on-the-hour times can be chosen, and the earliest is 24 hours after you schedule the sale.
Start priceValuation divided by total supply. Calculated for you, not entered.
Final price3 times the start price. The price reaches it when the supply is fully sold.
Sale supply10% of the total supply.
Once you schedule the sale, you cannot change the time or cancel it. At the set time the sale contract opens the sale by itself - there is no button to open it.

How the Supply Is Split

The total supply is split three ways, shown as a share of the total supply.

Token Sale Lifecycle

  1. On the Console dashboard, choose Set the sale time, pick the start time, and schedule the sale.
  2. Your store shows as Upcoming in the DEX Token sale list. Buying and selling are not open yet.
  3. At the set time the sale opens. Users buy and sell at the current price, and you follow the progress on the dashboard.
  4. When 100% of the sale supply is sold, the sale shows Sold out and buying closes. There is no deadline for reaching 100%.
  5. Confirm the listing with your passkey on Manage > Token sale.
  6. The contract lists the token and the market opens shortly afterwards. Until then the dashboard shows Listing in progress.

Confirming the Listing

Selling out is a condition for listing, not the act that lists your token. If the supply does not sell out, the token is not listed and the sale simply stays open. Once it sells out, the listing happens only when you confirm it.

  • Confirming is your own decision and your own act. You sign it with your passkey, and we record who confirmed, when, and what was confirmed.
  • Once you confirm, the contract carries out the listing. It cannot be cancelled afterwards.
  • Before you confirm, the Console shows what happens next: the listing price, where the sale proceeds go, and the start of your owner allocation release.

Fees and Sale Proceeds

Nothing from the sale is paid out to you at listing. The sale proceeds are split once, when the token is listed.

ItemRateApplied to
Listing fee5%The sale proceeds at listing. The other 95% becomes market liquidity for your token.
Buy fee0.15%Each purchase in the sale
Sell-back fee0.15%Each sell-back in the sale
After listing, regular trading fees apply on the market. See the Fees page.

Owner Allocation

The owner allocation is made up of your own tokens, not cash. It is released to you in monthly steps after a lock-up, and you receive each step by claiming it.

ItemDescription
Lock-up3 months from listing. Nothing is released during the lock-up, and no revenue proof is needed.
Monthly release24 monthly steps of 1/24 of the owner allocation each, so the full release takes 27 months from listing.
ConditionThat month's revenue proof is confirmed. You provide the proof of the previous month's revenue during the first 5 days of each month, in the Console under My Store > Financial.
ClaimingPress Claim on that month's row on Manage > Token sale and sign with your passkey. The tokens arrive in your wallet. There is no deadline to claim, and an unclaimed step stays available to claim.
A month whose proof is not confirmed in time is not lost. Its step is released in the window where that month's proof is confirmed, and several months can be released together.

Monitoring from Console

The dashboard follows the sale through five stages: before the sale, scheduled, on sale, sold out, and listed. It shows what you can see and do at each stage:

  • Before the sale: a card to set the sale time. Scheduled: the opening time and a read-only view of the schedule.
  • On sale: current price and progress toward 100% of the sale supply.
  • Sold out: a task card to confirm the listing.
  • Listed: market price, 24-hour trading volume, and holders.
  • Owner allocation: tokens received so far and the next release.

Store Tokens and STAR are utility tokens. They are not securities, equity, or investment contracts, and they confer no ownership, dividends, revenue share, or guaranteed returns.
