GUIDE FOR USERS
Delisting
Overview
Delisting is the removal of a Store Token from trading on the Starzip DEX. It can happen because a store closes, because it breaches the terms it agreed to, or because Starzip determines the token can no longer be supported on the platform.
Delisting is not the same thing as a token losing value, and it is not a refund. There is no mechanism to unwind a Launchpad or return your funds once a token has been listed and distributed.
How Delisting Works
- Starzip gives advance notice before a delisting takes effect. Notice is published on the platform and sent to holders.
- The store is given a period to respond and put forward its case before the removal is carried out.
- During the notice period, trading continues so that holders have time to act.
- After the notice period ends, the trading pair is removed and the token can no longer be traded on the Starzip DEX.
What Happens to Your Tokens
- You keep the tokens. Delisting removes the trading pair on Starzip. It does not confiscate or destroy tokens you hold.
- You are given a window to withdraw your balances before the pair is removed. Withdraw within it.
- You lose the market. After removal there is no order book for that token on Starzip, so there may be no practical way to sell it.
- Store benefits are separate. Whether any benefit continues depends on the store, not on the listing.
- Tokens still under a vesting schedule continue to unlock on that schedule, but they unlock into a market that no longer exists on Starzip.
If a Store Closes
A Store Token is tied to a real business. If that business stops operating, the benefits attached to its token stop with it, and the token can become worthless even before any delisting takes effect.
Starzip does not guarantee the continued operation of any store, does not underwrite a store's obligations to its holders, and does not compensate holders when a store closes. Funds a store has already withdrawn from a Launchpad are not recoverable through Starzip.
What You Should Do
- Read the notice when it is published. It states the effective date and the withdrawal window.
- Decide before the window closes. Trading still works during the notice period.
- Withdraw any balance you hold in the settlement contract to your own wallet.
- Contact support if you cannot complete a withdrawal in time. See Support for what to include.
Delisting risk is one of the reasons to read Risk Factors before committing funds to any sale.
Store Tokens and STAR are utility tokens. They are not securities, equity, or investment contracts, and they confer no ownership, dividends, revenue share, or guaranteed returns.
