Launchpad FAQ

Participation

Where do I participate in a Launchpad?

Each Launchpad is hosted within the store space of the business running the sale. Navigate to the store you are interested in and open the Launchpad tab to view and join the active sale.

What currency do I use to participate?

Launchpad participation requires USDT or USDC. Make sure you have sufficient balance in your connected wallet or settlement contract before committing funds.

Can I participate in multiple Launchpads at the same time?

Yes. Each Launchpad is independent. You can commit funds to multiple ongoing sales simultaneously, subject to your available balance.

Soft Cap and Refunds

What is the soft cap?

The soft cap is the minimum funding target a Launchpad must reach to proceed - set at 20% of the total sale goal. If the soft cap is not met by the end of the sale period, the Launchpad is cancelled.

What happens if the soft cap is not reached?

If the soft cap is not met, the Launchpad is cancelled and all committed funds become refundable in full. You claim the refund directly from the escrow contract, and no tokens are distributed.

The sale reached its soft cap. Is the listing guaranteed?

No. Reaching the soft cap is a condition for listing, not the act that lists the token. After the sale closes, the business owner has 7 days to confirm the listing in Console. If they do not confirm within that period, the sale is unwound and all committed funds become refundable in full for you to claim from the escrow contract. No response counts the same as not confirming.

Can I withdraw my committed funds before the sale ends?

Yes. You can cancel your commitment and withdraw your deposited funds at any time before the sale period ends.

Vesting

What is vesting?

Vesting is a schedule that determines when distributed tokens are gradually released and become available for trading or transfer. Instead of all tokens becoming available at once, they are released in portions over the vesting period.

What vesting schedule applies to my tokens?

The vesting schedule for each sale is shown on its Launchpad page before you commit funds.

After the Launchpad

Does reaching the soft cap mean the token will be listed?

Not automatically. Reaching the soft cap is a condition for listing, not an instruction to list. After the sale closes successfully, the issuer decides whether to seek listing and confirms it in the Console. Starzip does not admit a Store Token to trading on its own initiative. If the issuer does not confirm listing, all committed funds become refundable in full for you to claim from the escrow contract.

When can I trade the token after the Launchpad?

After the issuer confirms listing and the Store Token is listed on the Starzip DEX, you can trade the tokens that have been released under your vesting schedule.

Is there a fee for participating in a Launchpad?

No. There is no fee for users participating in a Launchpad sale. The 5% Launchpad platform fee is charged to the issuing business and deducted from the funds raised, so it does not reduce the tokens you receive.

Store Tokens and STAR are utility tokens. They are not securities, equity, or investment contracts, and they confer no ownership, dividends, revenue share, or guaranteed returns.
