GUIDE FOR USERS

Launchpad

Overview

The Starzip Launchpad is a token sale event where users can commit funds to acquire Store Tokens before they are listed for trading on the DEX. The Launchpad lives inside each store's space - navigate to the store you are interested in and open the Launchpad tab.

Pre-Registration Gauge

Before a Launchpad opens, you can pre-register your intent to participate without committing any funds. This lets the issuer see expected demand before the sale starts.

If pre-registration comes in below 50% of the Soft Cap (that is, below 10% of the sale goal), the Launchpad is cancelled automatically three days before it would have opened. Registering intent is not a commitment and does not reserve an allocation.

How to Participate

  1. Navigate to the store space you are interested in.
  2. Open the Launchpad tab within the store space.
  3. Review the sale details - goal amount, soft cap, schedule, and token allocation.
  4. Commit funds in USDT or USDC to participate in the sale.
  5. If the soft cap is reached, the Launchpad proceeds. Tokens are distributed according to the vesting schedule.
  6. Once the token is listed on the DEX, tokens released to you under the vesting schedule become available for trading.

Allocation & Limits

  • Launchpad allocation is first-come, first-served. If you commit more than the remaining allocation, the excess is refunded.
  • The issuer may set a per-participant purchase cap. You cannot commit more than this cap in a single Launchpad.
  • There is no separate whitelist - participation is open to Starzip members.

Soft Cap

The soft cap is the minimum funding target a Launchpad must reach to proceed, set at 20% of the total sale goal. If the soft cap is not met by the end of the sale period, the Launchpad is cancelled and all committed funds become refundable in full for participants to claim.

Soft cap = 20% of the total sale goal. Failure to reach the soft cap results in full cancellation and refund.

Listing Confirmation

Reaching the soft cap does not list the token by itself. After the sale closes, the business owner has to confirm the listing, and the token is admitted to trading only after that confirmation. There are therefore two ways a sale can be refunded, not one.

  • The soft cap is not reached by the end of the sale period: the sale is cancelled and all committed funds become refundable in full.
  • The business owner does not confirm the listing within 7 days of the sale closing: the sale is unwound and all committed funds become refundable in full. No response counts the same as not confirming.
  • In both cases your committed funds become refundable in full and no tokens are distributed. You claim the refund directly from the escrow contract.
A sale that reaches its soft cap can still be refunded if the business owner does not confirm the listing within 7 days.

Vesting

Tokens acquired through the Launchpad are distributed according to a vesting schedule - instead of all tokens becoming available at once, they are released gradually over time.

  • Vesting schedule: tokens are gradually released over time and become tradable as they unlock.
  • The vesting schedule for each sale is shown on its Launchpad page.

Launchpad Fee

There is no fee for users participating in a Launchpad sale.

The 5% Launchpad platform fee is charged to the issuing business and deducted from the funds raised, so it does not reduce the tokens you receive. See the Fees page for the full schedule.

After Listing

Reaching the soft cap is a condition for listing, not an instruction to list. After the Launchpad closes successfully, the issuer decides whether to seek listing and confirms it in the Console. Starzip does not admit a Store Token to trading on its own initiative.

Once the issuer confirms and the token is listed on the Starzip DEX, tokens released under your vesting schedule can be traded freely. If the issuer does not confirm listing, all committed funds become refundable in full for you to claim from the escrow contract, and no tokens are distributed.

Store Tokens and STAR are utility tokens. They are not securities, equity, or investment contracts, and they confer no ownership, dividends, revenue share, or guaranteed returns.
