Deposit
Overview
To trade on Starzip, you must first deposit supported assets into the Starzip settlement contract. The settlement contract is a smart contract on the opBNB network that holds your trading balance. Funds remain under your control and can be withdrawn to your wallet at any time.
Before You Deposit
- Your Starzip account is created and you are signed in.
- Your EVM wallet is connected to your Starzip account.
- Your wallet holds the asset you wish to deposit on the opBNB network.
- Your wallet holds a small amount of BNB to cover gas fees on opBNB.
Supported Deposit Assets
Starzip accepts USDT and USDC as quote currencies for trading. Ensure the asset in your wallet is on the opBNB network before depositing.

How to Deposit
- Connect your wallet to Starzip if you have not already done so.
- Navigate to the Deposit section in the app.
- Select the asset you wish to deposit (USDT or USDC) and enter the amount.
- Review the transaction details, including the estimated gas fee in BNB.
- Confirm and sign the transaction in your wallet. This approves the transfer from your wallet to the settlement contract.
- Wait for the transaction to be confirmed on the opBNB network. Confirmation typically takes a short time; exact timing depends on current network conditions.
- Once confirmed, your trading balance on Starzip is updated and you can begin trading.
Network Requirement
Deposits must be made on the opBNB network. Do not send assets from a different network (such as Ethereum Mainnet or BNB Smart Chain) directly to the settlement contract address — this may result in permanent loss of funds. If your assets are on another network, bridge them to opBNB first.
Gas Fees
Each deposit requires a gas fee paid in BNB to the opBNB network. opBNB is a Layer 2 network designed for low-cost transactions, so gas fees are generally minimal. However, fees may vary depending on network congestion at the time of the transaction.
